ABOUT THE EQUIPMENT

Flats fishing in shallow water is done from a flats skiff that can be poled in inches of water. Each of us has our own skiff and can provide all the equipment and licensing for up to two anglers for a full day or half day charter. We are all licensed U.S. Coast Guard captains with plenty of experience on the waters around the Lower Keys and Key West. Visit our About Us page for more information

We specialize in light tackle and fly fishing on the flats for tarpon, bonefish, permit, sharks and barracuda. On occasion there will be cobia, redfish, snook and mutton snapper that roam the flats.

WHAT TO BRING

To assure that you are comfortable on the boat we ask that you bring the following items that are essential to sight fishing on the flats:

  • a hat
  • polorized sunglasses
  • sunscreen
  • bottled water
  • any food you wish to have for the trip
  • a camera

You may also bring your own fishing gear but we ask that it is ready and assembled prior to your arrival at the dock, we do head out at specific times to catch the tide and there may be fishing opportunities as soon as we arrive at our first spot so we need to be ready to fish.
